Me bad, slow in figuring this out by myself..... Power light blinks if the computer is allowed to sleep. I am of the old school that discovered hard drives lasted all most forever if you did not turn them on an off. Many argue that is no longer true because of improvements in transformers power regulation circuits but hard to change. Sleep got turned on accidentally on a recent Windows upgrade - it is back off.

I'm having the same problem with the ASUS x570-E Gaming motherboard which also uses the RTL8125 NIC.

Have tried various driver versions, Currently using: 10.43.723.2020 - problem persists
Have also tried
- Disabling "Energy-Efficient Ethernet"
- Disabling "Gigabit Lite"
- Disabling "Green Ethernet"
- Disabling "Power Saving Mode"
- Disabling "Wake on Magic Packet"
- Disabling "Wake on pattern match"
- Disabling "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

- Update to latest mainboard BIOS
- Update to latest chipset drivers from AMD

I also emailed nicfae@realtek.com and received the same response as bbandor above.

On this motherboard, I have the Realtek 8125 and an Intel i211. I was going to use the i211 but its also buggy, IPv6 intermittently fails PMTUD tests (which causes weird problems) - The Realtek doesn't have the IPv6 issue.

The Intel NIC utility allows me to test the LAN cable and it verified the cable as working properly. I've also used this cable on another machine just to double check and its working as expected.

Have also tried a different port on the switch that the machine is plugged into.

Is everyone here running Windows 10 version 2004? I'm wondering if the problem happens with version 1909?

Has anyone figured out what triggers the issue? Sometimes i can go a day or 2 without it happening and then some days i'll get the problem a few times within minutes.

Dear Ivnmad,

Thank you for posting your query to the ASRock forum.

Please try the steps below:
1. Install the first memory modules on both A2 and B2 slots to see if the system will beep.
2. Remove the first memory module and install the second one to the A2 and B2 slots to see if beep will occur.
3. Try reinstall the CPU.
4. Refer to page. 20 in the following link to clear CMOS.
   https://download.asrock.com/Manual/H410M-ITXac.pdf
5. Please try with the BIOS 2.10.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

Hi Asrock_TSD,

Thank you for your reply.
I tried everything you suggested, but no luck.
I bought a BM460M motherboard and with the same identical components (RAM, CPU, SSD, etc.) everything works as expected.
The problem must have been with the motherboard (e.g. maybe a bent pin on the CPU?), and I'm trying to return it to the supplier.

Kind regards,

Ivan

Page 40 of the manual displays the bios storage page with 7 storages. The m.2 is listed twice: SATA_0/M.2(SATA) and M.2(PCIE). So SATA_0 should work if a M.2 NVME is installed.

I've being having this problem as well.
Gigabyte B550 Pro ac motherboard.
Ryzen 7 3700K and GTX1660Ti.

It seems to be ok now. Here's how I fixed it (I hope).
Update your driver to 10.43.723.3030.
Windows10 also did an update on 8/09/2020: Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - Extension - 6.0.8945.1

Open Driver Manager
Right click on Network Adapters --> Realtek Gaming 2.5Gbe Family Controller --> Properties
Open Advanced tab.

Set the following:
Energy-Efficent Ethernet    Disabled
Gigabit Lite               Disabled
Green Ethernet              Disabled
Maximum Number of RSS Queues 4

Go to the Power Management tab and turn off 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'

Click OK and reboot.

Dear.
Following the suggestion of the Asrock forum http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=14610&title=z490mitx-ac-90mxbc00a0uayz-bifurcation where explain that Intel Wifi Card
3168ngw can be replaced, I replace it by my old https://es.aliexpress.com/item/32974196141.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.37a163c0fMnXj1 to increase Wifi reception and network speed. The card works perfectly because it was used in my macbook air laptop in windows and macOS.
As is not standard PCIE M.2 connector I plugged in https://es.aliexpress.com/item/4000300239745.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.37a163c0fMnXj1. After bootup to windows I installed correct drivers and the card was correctly identified. But I cannot connect to any Wifi network. Windows reports that there is available Wifi networks but nothing is display. Check this capture. https://imgur.com/je4s4ie

I tested this adapter+card in a Lenovo Laptop S540 14 and works perfectly.
So seems that may be a problem between Asrock Motherboard and Windows.
Please can you give me a solution?
Thanks

Hello,

i know it is an old forum post but i have the same issue with an Asrock Fatal1ty Z270 i7 and a Corsair MP500 M.2 NVME SSD. It get only recognized in Slot M2_2. In M2_1 and M2_3 Slot the SSD get not recognized. It looks like, M2_2 is somehow different to M2_1 and M2_3. I think we have to life with that problem.

What I find bad in this forum: Nobody from Asrock try to help. In forums from Asus and Gigabyte the employees are always active and try to find solutions.

Best regards

So just bought a new Asrock Z490 Extreme 4, an i7 10770k 32gb of g-skill Ripjaws. Updgraded from an Asrock Z270 i7 7700k 16gb RAM.

Anyway unfortunately my build isn't posting. I have the 2nd light down on, on the Post Checker. My Post Status Checker light is showing just the one red light. Which according to the manual is DRAM

I'll be honest, during my build at purchase i was looking down the list at compatible memory that i could buy from newegg but couldn't find an exact match that was listed on their site, so i went with the the closest matching numbers i could find, which ended up being G-Skill Ripjaws F4-3600C16D-32GVKC DDR4-3600 16GBx2 CL16-19-19-39 1.35v

Is there anything i can do to get going ? I don't know where i can get 2x 16GB of compatible memory that's listed on the asrock site.

So an update i guess. I tried using my old memory from my old build.

G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-16GTZR

I should of also mentioned in my original post that the memory sticks are installed in the DDR4_A2 and DDR4_B2 slots.

This memory worked absolutely fine on my old Asrock Z270 Extreme 4 motherboard. But on my new Z490 board, i am still getting no post and the Post Checker light is showing the 2nd light, which is DRAM.

Do i have a bad board or is this board just extremely particular to memory ?

I know this memory is good. It was working absolutely fine on my older build.

Gutted.

Dear Asrock@72,

Thank you for posting your query to the ASRock forum.

We have checked the RAM, both memory modules are listed as Z490 Extreme4 supported modules.

Here are some suggestions for you to try:
1. Please reinstall the CPU to the CPU socket, when the CPU is removed, please check the pins of the CPU socket.
2. Please install only one RAM to different slots.
3. Trying using the eraser to clean the gold finger of the memory modules.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

The network is a Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)

I did get it to post with just one stick of RAM. I tested both of my new sticks individually, and both worked when just individually plugged in. So i know both sticks of the RAM works. I also updated the BIOS to V1.20 hoping that it would help but it didn't.

When i tried both sticks again after the BIOS update to V1.20 it once again failed to post with both sticks in the DDR4_A2 and DDR4_B2 slots. So i'm guessing a bad board.

Also worth mentioning is the system seemed very unstable. After installing the Intel Inf driver that i pulled from the Asrock site. After installing it, as soon as i'd get to Windows, it would lose video display. Overall it just seemed very unstable.. it would also lose video after removing a flash drive, for no apparent reason.

I'm back on my old asrock Z270 Extreme 4 and everything is 100% stable again. I will return this board to newegg, but worried if i get the same again, i'll only run into the same issues.

m using Corsar Vengeance LPX 2x8gb DDR4 DRAM 3200mhz and the asrock b365m pro4 motherboard. When i plug my monitor into either the gpu or motherboard, it doesnt pick up the signal. I figured that it was caused by the ram. The online manual and even forums said a2 and b2, i installked it in those slots and the monitor does not pick up video. This is my first ever build. The pc turns on btw, i just dont get video signal from any port.
