Built a new PC with an i5-10400 and a GTX 1650 Super on the H410M-HDV. It launched me straight into the BIOS, and I cannot leave. If I don't move my mouse after the first few seconds of being in the BIOS, my mouse freezes up and won't move. Also, anytime I click anything to try and leave the BIOS, it freezes and will stop responding completely. Any ideas? I've already tried removing each individual RAM stick, but I gave up for the night after that.

Dear Asrock@72,

Thanks for the feedback.

After the INF driver is installed, the graphics card driver will also be installed automatically.

While the graphics card driver is installed, the system will start tuning the graphics that cause the monitor to start to blink a few times. Once the graphics card is fully installed the system should work properly.

Have you checked the monitor cable while installing the USB disk? Loose monitor cable can also cause the monitor blink.

The above will be some ideas that might help.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

Subject: B150M Pro4V cannot set both USB 3.0 and 2.0

My motherboard is Asrock B150M Pro4V and case is CoolMaster N400. The front panel two usb 3.0 ports and two 2.0 ports "work" for years so I didn't find out the problem. Recently I bought an external SSD then I found out the USB 3.0 in front panel of the case actually just works as USB 2.0 with around 40mb/s. If I unplug then usb 2.0 cable from front panel to motherboard, then the two usb 3.0 port speed become 3.0 speed with over 100mb/s, but the two 2.0 ports do not work at all no response.

I check the bios and no setting related to this. Any idea? Thx!

Dear Sukiukii,

Thanks for posting.

Regarding your question, please try to install only one RAM to different slots to see if it will work.

If it does not work, please check if the CPU has the mark of F at the end of the model name.
e.g. 9500F

Such CPU with the model name of F means that it does not have built-in graphics.

Kindly install a graphics card to the system.

With thanks,

Posted: 11 Sep 2020 at 8:51pm

Hello,

I was doing my first build, I haven't installed Windows yet, I upgraded my bios right away. It said update was successful then it turned OFF by itself. When I turned it ON, power LED lit up briefly and CPU fan (1 second) then it turned OFF by itself.
It's been like that since. I've already removed everything, SSD, GPU, RAM, etc with only the CPU left, still the same.
My PSU is Corsair 850W, it's brand new.
I tried removing the CPU power (8pin) from the mobo, this time it turned ON a bit longer (3 secs) then turned back OFF.
Already tried clearing CMOS jumper and removing the battery for 1 hour.
Would appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Im unable to boot past the asrock logo i get error: biinitializelibrary failed 0xc00000bb

Ive tried both a bootable USB and windows repair disc, one gives me a recovery screen with the error,
file: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
Error code: 0xc000000f

The other gives me a recovery screen with the error,
Error code: 0xc000000e

And options to try again, startup settings and an option to use different operating system, none of these options do anything when pressed

I have the same board and it has the same problem.

Quote ASRock supplied a 24 -> 4 pin cable

Mine did not include such an adapter?!

You connected this adapter to the half of the 8-pin connector. For me this looks wrong as the pinout looks like it contains 5V but the "ATX12V2" board plug needs only 12V and ground:

I think this adapter should be connected to the 4-pin of the board. "Should" as I do not know it better as the manual does not contain any explanation. The best is to measure the output to be sure which pins deliver 12v and 5v.

Quote I also have an Asicminer 24 Pin to 8-Pin cable

I found this picture on amazon:

and compared it to the 24 atx pinout:

For me it looks like the two yellow cables deliver 12v and the purple cable 5V. You should not use this. It does not look like an ATX standard to me.

Finally you connected a 4 pin cable to the 4 pin board plug. This plug needs 12V and 5V:

If this is the additional plug of an 20+4 atx power supply its wrong too as it contains 12v, 5v and 3.3v (the bottom grey part in this pinout):

Now, what I did:
I connected the 4-pin plug of an PicoPSU 160-XT (it delivers 12v on the yellow cables and ground on the black cables as needed):

As I do not own the Asrock adapter I was not able to test more. But for me it looks like a dead board as the high reving fan does not make sense as the board is switched off. I measured the power consumption, too. It consumes 9-11W in this state.

Quote This plug needs 12V and 5V

Sorry this was wrong. Sadly this forum does not allow to correct postings. This plug named "ATX_4PIN" needs ONLY 5V:

"ATX_PG" = "ATX Power Good" = 5V
"5VSB" = 5V Standby = 5V
GND = Ground = -5V
PSON = Power Supply On = 5 V

Finally the manual is wrong as it describes this socket as "ATX 12V power connector". And why the hell is it possible to interchange these plugs. What a design flaw!

I guess you fried your board and I bet someone fried mine too (and forget to put the adapter cable back in the box) and sent it back to the dealer were I bought it.

Intel Motherboards : What's new with the [Beta] Polychrome v2.0.71

From the v2.0.69 that's from the app shop?

Also, does anyone know why the IO cover, PCM heatsink, and PCB, is not synced up with the 2 ARGB headers on the Z490 Taichi MOBO? I have all channels set to wave and the 2 headers sync to each other, and the 3 MOBO LEDs sync to each other, but they don't all sync together. I want all LED to show the same colors at the same time. I have 6 diffused LED neon strips and 2 phantek fan frames on the 2 ARGB headers, and those all look great. But with the MOBO out of sync, I might as well just turn the MOBO LED off because the colors can clash. You'd think a simple restart would sync them since they all turn on at the same time, but that didn't work. Nothing I've tried can sync everything. lol For something with sync in the name like Polychrome Sync, you'd think this would be easier to sync. I'm tempted to just try downloading third party software like MSI or the like since what should be basic is being screwed up. I mean it's all coming from the MOBO so I'm at a loss here on what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Intel Motherboards : Fan Splitter that wont blow up PC

Subject: Fan Splitter that wont blow up PC
Posted: 12 Sep 2020 at 8:10pm

Hey guys I unfortunately bought the ASROCK H410M-HDV because it was $5 cheaper than the ASROCK H410M-HDV/M.2 I wrongly assumed the MBs were exactly the same besides one not having an m.2 slot since they have the same name and at a quick glance look exactly the same besides the missing m.2. I made sure that the first board had enough fan headers, I assumed the non m.2 one would as well. The non m.2 version of the board only has 2 Fan cables. Fortunately though one of them is 2amps which I guess gives me some head room for extra fans. So, my question is which splitter should I get that wont blow up my pc it makes me nervous reading the 1 star reviews also googling around and getting a lot of conflicting information on this subject.Anyways thanks in advance to anyone that helps! :)
