Anyone from ASRock care to offer any insights? ASRock support hasn't replied to my support request at all even though it's been a few weeks now.

I can see where the WiFi module is on the motherboard, but the screw holding it in has an odd top. Is it possible to replace the WiFi on this board? I have an AX200 module that I would like to install, since the original module is falling behind current performance capabilities.

Yes, same issue here, fairly new build as well. I first noticed the error after a power outage that occurred while the computer was in Sleep mode. On next boot up, my wireless keyboard/mouse USB receiver (plugged in front) began having issues. They were working, but wireless range had dropped to about 6"!

I moved the receiver to a back port as I read that USB 3.0 can interfere with the 2.4GHz receivers, however it had been working fine up until the power outage and a Windows Update that had occurred the day before. The front ports did work with a wired keyboard and a USB flash drive, but now after a few days, the front ports don't seem to be working.

1. Tried rolling back the Windows Update, no change.
2. Have deleted and re-installed the device, no change.
3. No driver updates seem to be available for this device.
4. Did an sfc /scannow and it did find and repair problems, but didn't fix the issue.
5. No issues found with chkdsk /f c:

I'm running Win 10 Pro, Version     10.0.18363 Build 18363

Have you been able to fix the issue?

OK, I got the front ports working again. I just removed USB connector from the motherboard for front panel USB ports and reseated the connector. I'm plugged into the USB 7 & 8 port on the motherboard and it was seated very well to begin with....oh well. But still the Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub device errors out.

I then downloaded and installed the Debugging tools from the Windows 10 SDK (only debugging tools, deselected everything else). There is a tool called USBView that lets you see all of your USB devices and the protocol support available and the speed of active devices. No Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub device showed up and the front panel devices only showed on the Generic USB Hub, which is USB 2.0 and below. Only the Intel Host Controller which provides SuperSpeed for at least the back USB ports was working for me.

And then by sheer luck, I got the Generic SuperSpeed device going again! With USBView running, I disabled the Generic SuperSpeed device and re-enabled it in Device Manager. It also remains working after a reboot!!

So not sure if installing and/or running USBView was the key to fixing the device but it seems to have worked for me. Previously the device would show the error within 30 seconds of disabling/enabling.

Hope this helps!

MOBO: B450 Steel Legend
ASRock Polychrome RGB ver:2.0.38

a. Open CMD as an administrator (type "CMD" in search bar right click & choose "Run as administrator" from the context menu)
b. Go to RGB app installation folder by typing "cd C:\Program Files (x86)\ASRock Utility\ASRRGBLED\Bin\"
c. Flash the RGB chip using the following command "wICPFLASHADSBv2 /File=nu51_3.04" - this takes around 15 seconds.

Thank you SO MUCH!

Fixed the problem on my x570 Taichi!

I have the following setup and am getting no video and no BIOS beeps.

ASRock Z170A-X1/3.1
Intel 4512 Core i7 6700K LGA 1151
Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4 2666 MT/s (PC4-21300) SR X8 DIMM 288-Pin Memory - CT2K8G4DFS8266

I have a monitor connected via DVI.
RAM is installed in A2 and B2.

The CPU fan comes on, power light is on, no video, and no beeps.

Any thoughts on what's going on? I've swapped the RAM once when there appeared to be some issues with the RAM.

Make sure the 8pin CPU power is connected and that it is the correct connector
(4+4 not 6+2). You can also observe your indicator LEDs (power and HDD). If
you are getting a flashing HDD LED then odds are, you have an issue with your display
cable.

The 8pin is a 4+4. The HDD indicator light is not flashing during startup. I did clone the SDD from another SDD so I would presume it works, but perhaps not.

I read that AX200 doesn't support CNVi.

Is there a Wifi-6 M2 module which is compatible with J4105/J5005?

Dear asrocky,

Thanks for the reply.

When a spec. states that the CNVi Wifi module is supported, it does not mean that a CNVi supported WiFi module is required.

A non-CNVi module can also be supported with the Gemini Lake motherboard such as AX200 and AC9260.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

So I have an ASRock Z370 Extreme4 with a Front Panel Type C USB 3.1 Gen1 Header (ASMedia ASM1074 hub). I recently bought a new case which is the NZXT H510 that has a USB 3.1 Gen2-compatible USB-C connector on the front panel. I've got it hooked up and nothing registers that I plug into the port.

Are they not backward compatible or is something else going on that I've missed?
