I removed the CPU and tried to bend a couple of bent pins.

After this, It started and now it's working fine.

I hope that, when I'll swap CPU (now I'm testing it with a G4900, but I'd like to use it with a i7), it will works!

Week ago while playing a game I got a black screen and my audio started glitching. After few second my pc reseted by itself and instead of loading Windows 10 it went straight to Bios. Now everytime I turn it on it is just stuck in Bios.

I have checked the boot load order, my SSD is listed properly. I tried booting Windows 10 from pendrive, it sees the pendrive but when choosing to boot from it, it doesn't start the installation and just goes straight to Bios. I have checked the both SSD and pendrive on my laptop and it boots there without any problems.

I have updated the Bios, switched the RAM, GPU and CMOS battery just in case and the problem still persist..

My motherboard: ASRock Z370 Extreme4, no warranty anymore.

Weird thing is similar thing happened half year ago and it got fixed itself. I was stuck in bios loop and after few tries I was able to boot from pendrive.

Is my motherboard dead, should I replace it? What else can I do?

Dear Alan80,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, that was the cause. But don't worry, with newer L7.54 BIOS everything should work properly.

Intel Motherboards : RAM recognition problem on AsRock B75 Pro3-M

Goodmorning everyone,
I find myself with a problem which I have been trying to solve for some time but without any success. I have read several discussions on similar issues, but none of them have helped me.
I have a PC assembled about 6 years ago, including:
- Motherboard: AsRock B75 Pro3-M
- CPU: i5 3340
- VGA: Sapphire Dual-X R9 270 2 GB
- Kingston Hyperx 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600 KHX1600C9D3K2 / 8GX DIMM RAM

Until a few months ago I had this configuration with a total of 8 GB of RAM.
I wanted to buy the same RAM kit, so as to get to 16GB and not have compatibility problems being all the same.
All right, all 16 GB worked, read both in the BIOS and on Windows 10.
A month ago, I formatted Win 10 and from that moment it only reads me 8 GB of RAM.
On the BIOS it detects all 4 banks, but uses only two. I have tried each bank one by one and it detects it correctly. Even two together. But as soon as I put the third one, it stops detecting one to reveal the one just inserted.
Example:
A1 Detected but not read
A2 Detected and read
B1 Detected and read
B2 Empty (really empty).
As soon as I also enter the fourth, only A2 and B2 count me again, although noting all 4.
Obviously CPU-Z detects 16GB without any difference in frequencies between them and anything else. Perfectly the same.
Obviously already tried to update the BIOS (I kept the 1.80, I put the 2.00 beta but the most updated), to reset the CMOS both via jumper and removing the battery. Nothing.
I also tried to manually set the memory limit on msconfig, but it automatically sets the value 8192 as soon as I give the ok.
I can understand if maybe they had been immediately incompatible ... but I can't understand why before yes and now no? Motherboard gone? Memory control in the processor?
I thank anyone who will give me a hand and I apologize for the post mileage ..
(Sorry for bad English, I used Google Translate)

I bought an H370M Pro4 from Asrock in December. Then today I bought and installed an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 for the Wlan. But then the Compute cannot be switched on anymore. The card is a CNVio card which the board supports. Why doesn't it work then? Would be nice if I could get help here.

I saw and read the topic 'Z170 Extreme4 - "This system is vulnerable"'.

With Asrock Z170 Extreme7+ BIOS 7.60 I have the same vulnerabilities - CSME version 11.8.50.3425.

Is there a possibility to update the BIOS with new Intel ME/CSME?

Thank you.

I would suspect there is a bent pin(s) in the CPU socket. If you're very careful, they can be bent back into position.

Dear Mai101,

Thanks for posting your query to ASRock forum.

Regarding your question, kindly try the suggestions below:
1. Install SSD on different ports.
2. Try a different SATA cable.
3. If possible, kindly try with a different PSU and CPU.

If the problem persists, kindly contact the store where the motherboard was purchased from for further assistance.

Dear Pan!k,

Thank you for posting your query to ASRock forum.

Regarding your question about AX201, the motherboard mainly supports
CNVio1 WiFi module(Intel Wireless-AC 9560/9462/9461).

AX201 is a CNVio2 WiFi module, thus it is not supported.

Dear Hogopogo,

Thanks for the reply.

We understand.

However, since AX201 is a CNVi2 Wi-Fi module, thus it is not supported by the Z390 chipset.

Hello,

I am thinking of buying the B365 Pro4 ATX motherboard and installing a i5 9400 CPU. I wondered whether I will need a Celeron or Pentium cpu to update the BIOS to 4.00 to enable the i5 9400 to function? Or will it function without a previous generation of cpu like a Celeron or Pentium?

Thanks,

We are not able to see the hangs when the transition of RGB colors.

The hangs in the transition of colors in the RGB comes across much more subtly in the video compared to real life.

None the less, whatever changed in this version of software seems to have fixed the problem. Thank You!

Will this version be added to the Z390 Phantom Gaming ITX motherboard download section? The most current version for download there is the Beta 1.0.70 version of Polychrome.

Thanks again!

So I built a new HTPC around the Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac and an I3-8100 and am running into issues getting it to pass the Cyberlink Ultra HD Blu-ray Advisor check.

The following 2 checks keep failing per the logs:
Intel® SGX Technology (CPU/Main Board) : SGX not supported
Intel® Management Engine Software : incorrectly installed

I have Intel SGX enabled in the bios (Intel ME FW 11.8) and have tried both the Intel ME 11.8 and 12.0 Windows drivers from the ASRock website.

The bios version on the ITX board is 4.30.

This is a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro so any help would be appreciated.

Side note: I do have a Z390 Tachi Ultimate gaming desktop which passes the check. The only difference that I can tell is that runs Windows 10 Home and has the Intel ME 12.0 FW. Not sure how to load that on the Z370 ITX.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe that works. You can plug a SATA drive into a SAS port with the appropriate cable/adapter but not the reverse.

Odd...

My BIOS on my Z390 has a option under Advanced\USB Configuration for Legacy USB Support... Maybe check to see if that is enabled (mine is enabled) or try toggling that value.

Assuming the drive populates under the F11 boot menu, I would think that if it still fails to boot and you have tried different USB ports on the board (USB 2.0, USB 3.0, etc.) that the bootable usb drive wasn't created correctly.

Asrock polychrome RGB software is so bad and poor. There is only 8 effect for addressable RGB led which is not special also the rainbow effect is so bad. This rainbow effect changes 1 color per 13 led which is not satisfying and doesn't look colorful because of this. Please fix this so that it can change 1 color per 5 led. The music and wave effect is also broken. While playing music the music effect doesn't work, the led doesn't light up fully and looks like the brightness is very very low. For the addressable RGB led the wave effect only changes a single color per moment which is wrong. This should change a single color like a real wave. They are not even fixing this. Please fix those things and also add some more effect for addressable RGB led and make this RGB software more customizable
