Thank you for your reply. Your suggestion was correct - I replaced the graphics card with a newer one and I can now use UEFI mode to install my operating systems.

How can I mark this question as solved?

It is hard to say if Asrock will support that processor on the Z370 boards. If they do not it is possible a technical issue will prevent it.

Hi,
I'm on an Asrock Fatal1ty Gaming K6 Z370 with the latest BIOS with an i7 8700K with the Intel UHD 630. I'm trying to increase the video memory allocated to my IGPU. I'm doing exactly what is being done in this video here how get more dedicated video memory on PC - ASrock - YouTube, changing the "Share Memory" setting under Chipset Configuration. However, windows reports 128M as the video memory no matter what option I choose in the bios.

Can you please help me, is there some detail I'm missing? Thanks :)

Hey all,

I own a Z370 Extreme 4, which I decided to upgrade with a (very hard to find) Thunderbolt 3 AIC (rev1). It's not showing up in device manager, nor does the Thunderbolt Software application recognize any controller.

The installation in the case was easy enough, I've followed all the steps both the mobo manual and the AIC manual explained. (Save for the mini-cd, I downloaded the drivers online instead.)

I am going to buy an Universal Audio Apollo x8 interface for this studio which connects with TB3.

The problem is that before I buy this, I wanna make sure that my new TB3 controller works. Considering the controller isn't showing up anywhere, I'm a bit scared to spend a lot of money on something that might not even connect properly.

I've tried pretty much everything I can think of.

My UEFI/BIOS version is 3.20.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Hello: I have been having this same problem for about a week now since doing a cold install of Win 10 1903. Crashes hard on any attempt to sense hardware for a driver update. Have to pull the power plug and reboot with rescue media. Then use Diskpart to reassign volume letters back to the right ones to boot with. Have been doing this for literally a week trying to figure out what's wrong. Tonight, turning off the 3rd party SATA controller has fixed things and it doesn't look like I've lost any drives. And, the system seems to be much faster. Whatever that problem was was chewing up a lot of CPU cycles. In any case, I am so happy this is over...

So I flashed 2.90P from official ASrock website and it turned out that CSM is not under BOOT menu in Bios but in ADVANCED menu under storage settings.

Nevertheless, I didn't have to disable CSM, after plugin M.2 SSD on PCIe, the board detected the SSD immediately, I booted windows 10 on USB and installed it normally. After install, PC booted normally with the new M.2 SSD.

I installed win10 successfully on my PCIe SSD. I didn;'t have to turn CSM off, it detected the drive immediately with the full name in UEFI.

The only thing I had to do is to flash the Bios version 2.90P from ASrock website and that's it.

Dear Hale,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Z370 Extreme4 supports Thunderbolt 3 AIC at PCIe6 slot.
Please make sure the TBT cable connected and enable the thunderbolt support under BIOS setting.
The device manger will show the Thunderbolt controller only when a thunderbolt device connected.
You can test by connect a USB type-C device to check the Thunderbolt 3 AIC works or not.

Thank you!
Yours truly,
ASRock TSD

Dear Frankey,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Regarding your case, we provide some suggestion to try.
1.     Clear CMOS to load BIOS default and update BIOS to the latest version.
BIOS Download link: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z370M-ITXac/index.asp#BIOS
2.     Only install one stick memory at each slots to try.
3.     Install another stick to each slots.
4.     Re-install the CPU and check if the CPU socket pin is fine.

Thank you!
Yours truly,
ASRock TSD

Can I downgrade BIOS version 4.20 (just upgrade yesterday night) to 4.10 ?

My mobo is ASRock Fatality Z370 Gaming K6(with my old i7-8700K). When 8700K die I got the new i9-9900K and take my mobo to the shop for upgrad BIOS to 4.10 and use it with i9-9900K for 1 week and I try OC 5.0GHz for stable and works at a certain level but Vcore so high (5.0GHz with 1.39V) I try to find the best and yesterday night just found the new BIOS from this site, then I upgrade it and hope it help me. But when upgraded to 4.20 the system not stable RANDOM BSOD and the performance is drop, for stability I must rise up Vcore and the temp too high. Be4 upgrade test on Cenibench R15 got score 2179 when after 4.20 got score 20xx. The main problem is random BSOD.

Can I and How can I downgrade from 4.20 to 4.10 ?

Thank you

I have solved the problem. By downloading the BIOS 4.10 to install over 4.20.

The question was posted because on the webpage to download 4.20 it says "* User will not able to flash to previous BIOS once upgrading to this BIOS version." that is a reason.

However the job has done the performance is rise up and never saw random BSOD again.
Well, the next Z390 mobo I design to use Msi MEG Z390 ACE its rock solid mobo and it provides many good advices look at my VGA card.

Good Bye

Guys I need some help. Im using an asrock a320m-hdv r4.0 with a 512gb intel 660p nvme ssd and I cannot boot from the ssd. I Was able to install windows 10 on it but everytime the installation would finish it would bring me to the USB boot media not the normal windows 10. So everytime I tried to boot using the Nvme in the bios all I would get was "reboot and select proper device". I've been trying to fix this for so long and I am going insane.
