Subject: Z390 Taichi Ultimate RGB Help Needed
Posted: 03 Jan 2019 at 4:55pm

Hello,

I'm having some difficulties with "TT RGB PLUS" software and "POLYCHROME SYNC" software, and the "Trident Z Royal Lighting Control" software. Trying to understand how/if they can work together, or how to install, run these applications to sync everything.

I'm also kind of new to the RGB flavortown. So i've been going very slow about it all, trying to research as much as possible.

I understand it could be new software beta issues too.

The ASROCK POLYCHROME SYNC software has a component page that lists DRAM (and other peripherals).

Will this interfere with TT RGB PLUS or G.SKILL Royal Lighting Control softwares?

How do I properly use them together, if I can. I don't see royal on the list for polysync compatibility.

I have a NZXT Internal USB Hub connected to the 2.0 USB. And the other TT rgb hub connected to that.

THE PLAN:
I would like to have the TT RGB PLUS software run the RGB for fans, pumps, cpu block, and also the Gskill Royal ram RGB. I want the ram to display RGB like the Riing Plus fans and Pacific W4 Plus waterblock, and pump if possible. TT RGB PLUS software has an option under RGB Synchronization labeled "T-Force RGB DRAM" with a Sync On/Off.

I only want the Asrock board to run its onboard RGBs and any future plugged in directly to MOBO RGB slots (none yet but may add strips). Should I be doing this all off the MOBO? The Polychrome software.

Hoping to land a little advice and/or direction if possible.

Thank You for reading!

Build In Progress.
Specs:
Case- Thermal Take p7 Core
CPU - i9-9900k
MB - ASROCK Z390 Taichi Ultimate
RAM - G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200
CPU - i9-9900k
GFX - EVGA Ftw3 Ultra GeForce 2080 Ti
Cooling - TT M360 Plus LC Kit - So there's 3 Riing Plus fans and the pump/res RGB plus, and the Pacific W4 Plus CPU waterblock.

There will be more fans/pumps and rgb added to build.

Hi,

I've got the exact same behavior with this mainboard:
6 short beeps, the restart. Sometimes just 4 short beeps.
Does anyone know what these beep codes really mean ?

I already contacted ASRock support one week ago, but no reply so far.

I highly appreciate any help.

Thanks for the reply and please excuse my late answer. Long story short:
Bought a new Mainboard and again trusted ASRock. This time a Z390 Pro4.
Built everything together... nothing.
As soon as i power up, there´s nothing. No POST, nothing.

The mainboard label states BIOS Version 1.30. Which is compatible, according to here:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z390%20Pro4/index.asp#Memory
with my i5-9600K.

I don´t get it...

Additional note: No RAM inserted, no graphic card inserted. CPU Fan starts turning, then stops. No beeps at all.

Any fans trying to turn, even briefly? PS Fan running ? Use a DVM to verify voltages are present when PS is powered up, use the paperclip test;

Double check all your connections, paying particular attention to your front panel connectors. Check the Clear CMOS jumper and make sure is isn't set to clear and if all else fails, pull the board from the case and make sure there were no shorts under the board. While you have it out, test it outside the case.

Good luck

Hey guys,

I purchased a ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9, paired with a I9-9900k. I also have CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB Series 16GB 3.0GHz (CMR16GX4M2C3000C15). This is my first time owning an ASRock product. For some reason every time I enable the XMP profile, my system BSOD after 20 minutes. I've been searching online and I really can't get a good tutorial or information on how to properly use XMP. When I disable XMP and my ram goes back to 2133, I have no issues what's so ever. I would really like to get close to the advertised speed of my ram, I would even be content with 2800. I just need some help on how to get the ram stable with XMP enabled. All the help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm trying to migrate my system from a Z97 board. It's windows10. The old system is EFI. I've done dozens of tweaks to get the system the way I want it for live audio.

I used VEEAM to restore a full image from the old computer, and that worked fine, but it gave me a message indicating I might have boot problems. I checked on the VEEAM forums, and that error means I need to enable efi boot on the motherboard, and then it should boot fine.

Can someone explain how to enable EFI boot on this board? I'm used to a simple bios setting, but it sounds like you have to have some kind of boot file?

Thanks in advance!

Dear Toocrazy,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Regarding your case, please install the memory modules at A2, B2 slots to try.
If still not work, please only install one stick memory at B2 slot to check if the XMP works.
And try with each memory module.

Thank you!
Yours truly,

Dear Charly,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

The Z390 Pro4 supports i5-9600k since BIOS P1.30.
Regarding your case, we provide some suggestion for you to try.
1.     Clear CMOS to load BIOS default.
Please remove the power cord, and follow the user manual p19 to clear CMOS.
http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Manual/Z390%20Pro4.pdf
2.     Only install CPU and one stick memory to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.
3.     Please try to install one stick memory at A1, B1, A2 and B2 slot to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.
4.     Reinstall CPU and check if CPU socket pin is fine.
5.     If it is possible, please change another CPU or DRAM to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.

Thank you!
Yours truly,
ASRock TSD

Posted: 04 Jan 2019 at 8:43pm

Hello, I am setting up a new system, basic specs below:
CPU: i7-7820x
PSU: EVGA 850 G3
MOTHERBOARD: ASRock taichi xe x299
Graphics card: GTX 1070

The motherboard has a 24 pin atx power port and two 8 pin atx CPU ports. The G3 has the same. My confusion comes from the cabling on the G3. The cables labeled CPU have the 8 pin atx slot for the motherboard in two 2x2s and the full 4x4 for the PSU side. However the two 2x2s don't seem to have the same keying as the motherboard. The motherboard slot is keyed with one row like square, hex, hex, square and the other hex, square, square, hex. When I place the 2x2s side by side ( as they would be put in the motherboard) they don't seem to match that layout. However the full 4x4 side does match that. Hopefully this makes sense. Am I doing something wrong setting this up? Do I even need to plug in these extra CPU power cables?

Thanks!

It was a bad usb installation from Microsoft. I created my own installation USB drive and it works fine. For some reason the Microsoft drive will work with a pic with windows already on it. But not a fresh install. My issue is fixed

In the past i had compatibility issues with the 660 and the z68 (i know kinda old system but works fine). Months ago i already found a fix for this issue. When i plugged the gpu into the pcie slot nothing shows on the screen, Then i updated the BIOS of the z68 to the L2.31A and my gpu worked nicely with no issues for months until a couple days back. I was gaming with no issues, turned my PC off then the next mornig i start up my PC and the old compatibility issue just came back with that infamous black screen

I reinstalled de L2.31A Bios version but nothing seems to help.
I tested my gpu in another mainboard and works fine.
I tested an old GTS 450 and a GTX 1050 on the z68 and works fine.

Any help would be apreciated.
