BIOS battery is ok. Removed it installed a new one. Cleared CMOS.

Have you ruled out the PSU?

As PSUs get older they often degrade and rails go out of tolerance, that could cause the symptoms you described. It should be a cheap option to rule out, even a cheap PSU should be enough to get you to the post screen if the old PSU went bad.

If that checks out fine then your last option is the board or RAM.

I am typing this on my phone so please excuse the errors.

I just got the Taichi MOBO and I'm downloading all the drivers like lan, bluetooth, etc and all say the os is for Win10

Will this board even work with windows 8.1? will the windows 10 drivers work on my Win8.1 machine?

I know I wont get all of the features but will it run?

It can be made to run, but it is a hassle to get the right drivers. Others have put Win 7 on the newer boards. The board is not backward compatible and was built for Win 10.

Well I came across this board in the field, and I'm not impressed with the lack of legacy mode for the controller. So I'm going to try a hardware controller that has its own bios so that I can attempt to boot bypassing the efi firmware (like I've done successfully on the old mac pro towers that were locked out of upgrading to a 64 bit kernel because of its 32bit efi)

Do you want to know how and when is the BIOS update for this masterboard? Currently, IBUYPOWER will have 1.10 value. On the AROCK Z370 Pro4 site it will be up to 2.0. However, we can update Z370 Pro4 IB boards soon. I know what you ask if I have any questions ... no, I'm glad I have updated the latest version of the rest of the world.

Hello,

I assembled my PC yesterday and everything seems to work fine apart from when I plug in my speakers( front, back doesn't matter ). There is just lot of noise( cracking, static, etc. ). Should I just RMA the board( z390 extreme4) or just jump out of the window?

New PSU and RAM installed, same problem. Looks that it is the board :-(

I bought a Z370 Extreme4, the BIOS version was 3.10, RGB LED lit in blue, after I upgraded the BIOS version to 3.20 RGB LED became white-blue.
I try RGB LED app but it doesnt work (doesnt change anything), i also try LED Config in Bios but cannt adjust it.
When I tried to apply the recovery instructions, I received a verification error

im so confused with it somebody can help and explain it ? want to buy this motherboard together with i5 9600k but official specefication say my this cant work till BIOS UPDATE


all 9th gen CPU are supported on Asrock Z390 Extreme4 motherboard till BIOS version 1.80 but first relased version is 1.60 so this cant work till updadted bios helloo ASROCK im buying your motherboard dedicated for 9th CPU but out of the box i get not compatybile product ?

I can not make the last update on my HP which is under Windows 8. Someone has the same problem? Do I have to update my Windows to Windows 10 for it to work?
