About the test. CSM enabled and storage pRom in UEFI mode. It boots my Ubuntu installation and also my USB stick, it also boots if the other two options are in UEFI only. I think it isn't able to boot via UEFI and as CSM is enabled it boots via BIOS anyway. So we are back to the initial point. Some images:
The UEFI device I choose when I try to boot from the USB image made with rufus (the same as unetbottin)
