I've got a total of five hard drives. Two are set up as GPT, and the UEFI install is on a partition on one of those. The CSM install is on another one which is set up as MBR.

Dear Kabloomster,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Regarding your case, debug code 55 usually means memory problem.
Please only install one stick memory at each memory slot to try.
*When using two DIMM, please connect to A2, B2 slots.

All the memory modules on the memory support list have been tested and can works properly.
We suggest choosing the memory from the support list.

Thank you!

Hi ASRock TSD, the link is wrong for the H370M-ITX/ac

H370 link: http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/VGA/VGA(v25.20.100.6617_DCH_PV).zip

Z390 link: http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/VGA/Intel_VGA(v25.20.100.6617_DCH_PV).zip

On the Z390 the filename starts with Intel_VGA etc, for the H370 VGA...

Same problem for Z370, B365, B360, H310, it looks the download link is only is only good for Z390

Just did a clean install of Windows 10 1809 and the problem has gone.

Also, why are there no firmware updates for the Thunderbolt controller, all the other manufacturers have released them for the motherboards and AIC's.

I have a H370M-ITX/ac and the Asrock supplied DCH driver works fine for me.

However I updated from the Asrock supplied driver 61XX as an intermediate step through Windows Update to the Intel device drive 25.20.100.6373 of 18Nov2018.

Perhaps try the Windows Update driver upgrade first, before using the ASR supplied DCH driver, see tail of this thread for the steps to follow.

Asrock has corrected the download urls on
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H370M%20Pro4/index.asp#Download
for the VGA driver for your board, but this looks to be the same link as I provided in this thread.

You can try to revert to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter driver too before installing the ASR DCH driver, snippet from the Intel Graphics forum:

1. Use only drivers provided directly by your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) as they are customized and validated for your system configuration. Follow these steps to properly switch to the best OEM drivers for your computer:

1. Disconnect from the Internet.
2. Uninstall the generic DCH drivers via Start > Settings > Apps & Features.
3. Uninstall the (DCH) Intel® Graphics Control Panel via Start > Settings > Apps & Features.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Reconnect to the Internet.
6. Go to Device Manager > Right-click on "Intel® HD Graphics" or "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter".
7. Select "Update Driver".
8. Allow Windows Update to Search for the best drivers for your system.
9. Install the driver.
10. Restart the computer.

If you currently do not have a DCH driver, uninstall the driver through the device manager to revert to the MS Basic Display Adapter driver, next Windows Update as described above and as last step try the DCH driver from ASR for your board

Uninstalling the driver and trying the Asrock driver again fixed the problem.
Thanks for your help!

That is odd since the mb is still listed on the ASRock web site. I purchased my J5005 from NewEgg in November of 2018, which is obviously not that long ago. Back then the board was also available from Amazon. Maybe a new board is in the works and suppliers have cleared stock.

The only problem I found with the J5005 is that it is finicky about the memory chips that can be used. There are several posts on this forum about that issue. I finally settled on the G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4-2400 dual channel memory set which solved the problem. Once I found compatible memory my J5005 has been running Windows 10 Pro 24/7 with no problems.

Hi there. I'm trying to troubleshoot a very strange problem.

My build:
9700k
RTX 2070
16gb RAM DDR4 3000 mhz
Seasonic focus plus gold 750W
AsRock z390 Extreme4

Every component is brand new.

I'm getting random stuttering in games like CS GO and PUBG. It manifests itself in frametime spikes, like from 3 ms to 120 in a very short time. It's not connected with situation on screen.

During troubleshooting process, I managed to rule out other PC components, like ram, gpu etc. Done memtests, used furmark (no spikes), occt stability tests, flashed bios, did few windows clean installs and clean boots, tried multiple version of drivers, nvidia panel settings, game settings. No results.

I tested the PC in my parents' home - no difference, issue persists.

It might be connected with online gaming - and intel ethernet controller, as stutters are connected i.e. with situation when someone joins the server, just like on this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vswm8S7mya0

I RMA'd whole cpu, they didnt spot the issue, so I got the PC back. They suggested that this could be a motherboard issue and taught me to RMA it.

Now I'd like to ask - is it a good idea to RMA the mobo? Can it be a cause? Thanks for help!
Mike
