You can try to "skirt' this by using the TV's Audio Out RCAs or 3.5mm located at the rear of the TV to feed the stereo. I've done this myself many times at many places.


This is what I usually do, daisy-chain from the TV to the audio amplifier, not ideal but works in a pinch. 


You? I find using the TVs Optical Out to be audibly bright due to processing. Not good.

Too, the TVs Digital Coax Out sounds great.
