The CHA_FAN3 header is a full power only header on your board, and cannot have its speed controlled.
The CHA_FAN2 header should be able to control fan speeds. As wardog asked, what fan models have your tried on that header?
Did you select the Temperature Source that is monitored for the CHA_FAN2 header?
Do you have your board's A-Tuning program running in Windows? If you do, its fan speed control settings will override the settings in the UEFI/BIOS.

![]() Hi, I own a H170 Pro4/Hyper motherboard and it comes with 3 CHA_FAN headers as stated in the technical specifications. The problem is, only CHA_FAN1 and CHA_FAN2 have adjustable speed in the BIOS, while the RPM speed of CHA_FAN3 can only be seen. What's worse is that the speed of CHA_FAN2 does not change and is not affected no matter what percentage % I've set in the HWMonitor in BIOS, even with 0% the fan on CHA_FAN2 will run at full speed. I've tried different fans for all of the headers, 3-pin and 4-pin does not make any difference. I can only change the speed of the fan that is connected to CHA_FAN1. CHA_FAN2 and CHA_FAN3 only work as a power supply to the fans, and I'm not sure what's the purpose of having CHA_FAN2 adjustable in the BIOS. |
