Subject: Mouse not responding during boot

It sounds like you are losing the setting of the Revo drive as the first entry in the boot order.
Then you try to get the boot order screen to appear, but you can't because the keyboard does not respond to your input, or appears to not respond.
Are these two statements correct?
Given your description of the problem, and its progression, the PC booting from the Revo after a few retry's and now not at all without manual intervention, I think the battery in the board needs to be replaced. It is no longer holding a charge.
The battery is a CR2032, very common and can be had for ~ $2.
