Intel Motherboards : GPU cryptocurrency miner - Extreme 7+ MB issues

I have built a GPU miner (cryptocurrency) and am encountering issues running 5 GPUs.

ASRock Extreme 7+
1600 watt PSU
16 GB RAM
Core i5 processor
Kingston SSD
5 Gigabyte Radeon 390/8GB RAM cards on pcie 16x to 1x risers

The system runs great with 4 cards.  No issues whatsoever, but it will not post when I add the 5th.  When I add the 5th card I get a 5d error and then even if I unplug all the cards it will not post until I reset the CMOS.  Once the CMOS is reset, it will post and boot fine with 4 cards again.

I believe the problem is related to the pcie bus and have installed the most recent bios updates.  I have tried setting each pcie slot to 1st gen and disabled everything else as a part of the chipset menu in the bios, but every time I go to add that 5th card, the 5d happens.

I have tried a mixture of cards, a mixture of slots, and a mixture of risers and verified everything to be functioning correctly.  The problem simply must be with the motherboard.  Does anyone have any advice?  Pic at the links below.
