Subject: Can't boot - "Waiting for BMC Initializing..."

Have you configured the BMC in the BIOS? Or logged into the IPMI interface?
Those are basic features of a server board like yours. It seems as if you aren't familiar with these things.
You said you can't boot the PC, have you installed an OS yet?
Try this, in the BIOS, find the Server Mgmt screen. In that screen, find the Wait For BMC option, which is probably set to Enabled. Change it to Disabled.
Since the BMC and IPMI seem to not be configured (no information about that in your post), the BMC initialization is failing or stuck.
Disable Wait For BMC, save and exit the BIOS, and let us know what happens.

![]() Hi, I just assembled my new NAS based on the Asrock C2550D4I motherboard. However, I'm not able to boot. The process gets stuck at "Waiting for BMC Initializing...", see this screenshot: What could I be doing wrong? I have one memory module: I have tried to put the memory module in each of the blue sockets, but no difference. I did also try the suggested solution here: (remove battery, memory, power cables, wait, plug it all in again) Please let me know if there is any other information I could give you to help me get going. Thanks. |
