I didn't think of this at time I posted originally yet your MB has a B(ackup) BIOS that is designed to re-flash the A(normal operations) BIOS. And even more functionality too using the "Secure Backup UEFI".
See and read completely the section "BIOS Selection Switch" and the gray highlighted box below it on pg.28 of the manual.
Down below PCIE5 are your two BIOS chips, with a sticker over each on which is printed the BIOS revision it came flashed to during its production.
What's printed on the sticker(s)?
